Welcome to our tribute to the expressionistic master piece from Robert Wiene: "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari".
A fair comes to town: You are 'Cesare The Somnambule', who is the big attraction of the show. The illustrious Dr. Caligari is the one who controls your life (awake and asleep). You want to escape from this constant nightmare and break the hypnotic influence of the evil doctor.
You will start in a room within the Asylum. Try to stay awake and find a way to escape. Next find the newspaper to get updated and follow your plan to expose Dr. Caligari to the authorities. Don't fall asleep or you will be lost forever!
Keep the day/night rhythm in mind. Things may be different in sun- or moonlight ... Guardians may come and go, furniture can move.
Navigate through the woods! This is not that easy as the mysterious forest pathways change between day and night.
Can you escape the evil?
Follow the voice in Cesare's head, his thoughts are displayed and will guide you through the game (Press 'L' to display Cesare's latest thought!).
The are two ways to solve the game, means there are two different endings! Which one will you choose?

Many thanks for playing our game. You were so close. Just needed to take the last item in Caligari's home so you could use the beans after that. And you missed the head of the puppet in the circus tent. But i have to say, well played! Great video!

Incredible game. The graphics blew up my mind, it reminds me "Don't Starve Together", a game that I hate but that aesthetically seems amazing. In addition, the game provides something different from the usual ones, and that is what spectrum needs, congratulations.

How to use coffee beans? I took the mortar and the pestle and nothing happened.
When you got his far, you only have to leave the shop and Cesare will stay awake. The Coffe beans are not really needed ;-) But it could help you to get orientation. Wow, just go "home" and chose how to end the game ;-) Many thanks for playing our game!

Someone told me the game has two endings. Is that true?
Take whatever you can get ;-) And you are right, there are two endings. Maybe you will visit the Asylum again, when you got all items. And maybe you will find an open door, which were closed before. Could be that you will meet someone there. Just saying ;-)

Cool video, many thanks. I saw you are pacifist, not using the knife Cesare collected ;-) Hardest part is not to get lost in the forest and to use some strategy, so you will not fall asleep too soon. Sometimes it is better to wait to get the pill!
